Nach folgenden Regeln sollen die Priesterinnen der Demeter amtieren: dass es erlaubtsei den Vormündern und von den nicht anwesenden Frauenjedem beliebigen (von ihnen bestimmten) Mann, das Los einzuwerfen, wenn sie im Landwohnhaft sind; dass die erlosten (Frauen) erst nach Vereidigung das Priesteramt ausüben; dass denverheirateten und verlobten (Frauen) es erlaubt ist,jeder die will, so wie es festgesetzt war, bevor das Priestertumverkäuflich wurde, durch Entrichtung von fünf Obolensich zu befreien von allen anderen Zahlungen;dass die Priesterinnen den Verheirateten bereiten, wasgesetzlich vorgeschrieben ist; dass auch statt der Ehrengaben von den geopferten (Opfertieren) jede,die dies wünscht, entrichtet für einen Jährling eine halbe Obole, für ein ausgewachsenes (Opfertier)eine Obole; dass von der Kollekte - - - und allen Ehrengaben- - - heilig sein soll den - - -- - -
According to the following the priestesses are to serve Demeter: it is permittedfor their guardians and, for women in absentia,any man willing, to deposit (the lot), if they are in thecountry; those allotted, after swearing the oath, are to serve; formarried and betrothed women it is permitted,if one wishes, as also previously it was ordainedthat the priesthood was for sale, by giving five obolsto be exempted from all other expenses;for the married women the priestesses are to supply whatis traditional; as perquisites from the victims it is permitted, to thosewho wish, to donate for a yearling a half-obol, for an adult victiman obol; from the collection - - - and all perquisites- - - is to be dedicated to the - - -- - -
